Sage Sausage Stuffing

Serves: 8 Prep Time: 30 minutes Cooking Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 lb sage sausage
  • 2 yellow onions (diced)
  • 2 celery stalks (diced)
  • 1 fennel (diced)
  • 1 granny smith apple (diced)
  • 1 d'anjou pear (diced)
  • 2 Tbsp italian parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 2 tsp rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Bread and Binding
  • 16 cups bread cubes (1 inch diced)
  • 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs (beaten)

Instructions

  1. Bake bread cubes at 350F for 7 minutes. Set aside in a bowl.
  2. Saute meat and vegetables.
  3. Toss with bread cubes, broth, cheese, eggs
  4. Spread in a 9×12 baking dish. Top with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
